Microsoft explained the design change in Windows 11

The most notable innovation in Windows 11 will be design. The system will receive a new start menu and taskbar. Microsoft has explained why they will look like this and not different in the new operating system.

The updated Start menu will not have live tiles, and icons on the taskbar will be centered.

How assures Microsoft, it wants to create a universal interface, suitable for both tablets and desktop computers. The decision to center the Start menu and taskbar is due to years of research by the Microsoft team. 40 designers participated in them.

It is worth noting that everyone will be able to return the “Start” back to the lower-left corner. But, probably, someone will find the new design really more convenient.
