There will also be a version with a 32-core SoC and a 64-core GPU
According to Blomberg, the high-performance desktop Mac Pro, scheduled for release next year, should be based on a powerful single-chip system.
Buyers of the new Mac Pro will have two SoC options to choose from. The redesigned Mac Pro, codenamed Jade 2C-Die and Jade 4C-Die, will be available in 20- and 40-core SoCs, with 16 high-performance and 4 energy-efficient cores in the former and 32 and 8 cores, respectively. The 20-core single-chip system will include a 64-core GPU. The older version will receive a 128-core GPU.
The new Mac Pro has been in development for several months and is expected to look like a scaled-down version of the 2019 Mac Pro.
The source also talked about the features of the new Mac mini, which we have already written about today.
