The function of fast-loading games announced for Windows 11, will get to the top ten, according to the official Microsoft blog .
The option, dubbed DirectStorage, was first shown on the Xbox Series X, giving gamers a 40x boost in-game launch speed over the previous generation of the console. The function uses the high speed of writing and reading of next-generation SSDs.The computer debut of DirectStorage coincided with the announcement of Windows 11. Windows 10 users will get it too, although the launch and decompression speeds of the GPU will not be as fast.
The new feature will work on computers with Windows 10 version 1909 equipped with NVMe drives. The launch date for DirectStorage has not yet been disclosed, possibly after the release of Windows 11 in late 2021.
