Windows 10 changed the approach to drivers.

Microsoft started updating drivers for more devices.

Microsoft is gradually making it easier to work with drivers in the Windows 10 operating system.

Microsoft previously announced that there would be significant changes in the process of obtaining new drivers in November. The point was that the OS would stop automatically installing optional drivers through Windows Update (Windows Update). And gradually, the company added more and more drivers to the screen with “optional updates.”

Microsoft has now begun distributing drivers for more hardware components through Windows Update. Users began reporting that they received updates for their audio hardware. For example, Realtek drivers have also become available on the screen with optional updates in Windows 10.

It is noted that Windows 10 still downloads and installs essential driver updates automatically, without the user’s permission.
