At the end of last year, WhatsApp added a disappearing message feature that allows you to delete conversations at regular intervals automatically. The developers are already testing a new option for this feature.
Currently, there is only one option available for self-destructing messages on WhatsApp – deleting after 7 days. The beta version of the messenger is testing the option to delete the correspondence 24 hours after sending. Users will be able to choose between 24 hours and 7 days.
The function of self-destructing messages allows you not to store important messages and documents in correspondence if you do not need to return to them. This feature is enabled separately for different chats – including personal and group.
If the automatic deletion of messages after 24 hours is already being tested, then this function will appear in the next WhatsApp updates – within two to three weeks or a month as a last resort.
Now the developers are busy introducing new WhatsApp rules, which caused a wave of negativity against the creators of the messenger. Against this background, people worldwide began to look for alternatives, now the popularity of other services is growing. For example, in Hong Kong, they began to massively download the updated messenger ICQ New because they used this messenger in the second half of the 90s. The Wall Street Journal wrote an article about it.
