Apple is considered to be one company that provides the longest possible software support for its devices. Nevertheless, no one promises to update very old devices endlessly. Therefore, this year, the owners of iPhones with A9 chips may not wait for updates to iOS 15, according to, citing an anonymous software developer Apple. iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone SE from 2016 can lose the new firmware version.

Several tablets based on A8, A8X and A9 chips will also join them: iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2 and iPad 5. And although this information is still rumoured, the likelihood of such a coincidence of events is quite high, given the end of support for the iPhone 6 series back in the 2019 year. The launch of beta testing of iOS 15 is expected in June this year.
