There are new details about the electric car Apple

F International Securities analyst Min Chi Kuo, who has repeatedly given correct predictions about future Apple innovations, shared details about the electric car project, which Tim Cook’s company is presumably developing.

The expert says that Apple’s first car will go on sale in 2025, not in 2027-2028, as previously thought. At the same time, the vehicle will be more expensive than analogues, as it will target the high-end segment, writes Cult of Mac. Kuo did not give exact numbers, but, according to him, “the price of Apple Car components will be significantly higher than that of the average electric vehicle

Min-Chi thinks Apple can partner with South Korean carmaker Hyundai to create an electric Apple Car. Also, according to Min-Chi Kuo, if the South Korean company’s project is successfully implemented, Apple may further agree on cooperation with General Motors and the European manufacturer PSA to release subsequent models of electric vehicles and sell them in other markets.

Apple’s electric car will be built on the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) platform, introduced in late 2020. On its basis, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 crossover and the first electric car of the Kia brand should also be released.

The E-GMP now has several configurations, with one electric motor installed as standard at the rear axle, and an additional electric motor with front axle drive for the all-wheel-drive version. According to Hyundai, the maximum cruising range on a single charge reaches 310 miles (~ 500 km), and the battery can be charged to 80% in just 18 minutes. In the best configuration, acceleration to 60 mph (98 km / h) is achieved in less than 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 160 mph (257 km / h).
