The next iPad Pro will receive wireless charging and a glass back panel

According to Bloomberg, Apple is preparing to release a version of the iPad Pro tablet with wireless charging support. To integrate this technology, Apple will use a glass back in its new models instead of the aluminum one found in current iPads.

The company is currently testing a magnetic charging system for the new iPad Pro, similar to MagSafe wireless charging in the iPhone 12 series released last year, Bloomberg sources said. Apple may also add reversible wireless charging support to the new iPad Pro, allowing it to charge other devices wirelessly.

The new iPad Pro model is likely to hit the market next year. And this year, according to Bloomberg, we should wait for the release of the updated iPad Mini tablet with narrower bezels around the screen. It’s unclear whether it will support Face ID like the iPad Pro or use the Touch ID sensor built into the power button like the iPad Air to unlock. The Bloomberg publication only indicates that during the preparation process, the operation of the model without the Home button is tested.

It is also reported that alongside the new iPad Mini, the company plans to release a thinner version of the 10.2-inch iPad. Both models are likely to be unveiled at the end of the year.
