Apple may launch a new entry-level iPad in the spring of 2021. The tablet will receive a 10.5-inch display, a fingerprint scanner in the Touch ID button, and the A13 Bionic processor used in the iPhone 11 line. This is reported by the Chinese portal CNBeta.
The existing iPad is equipped with a 10.2-inch screen, but with the next model, Apple will slightly increase the diagonal, making the gadget more similar to the iPad Air (2019). Sources believe that the body will become thinner and lighter, so it will feel like a more compact and mobile device.
The Lightning port will remain, but the base version’s memory capacity will increase from 32 GB to 64 GB. The amount of RAM is expected to be 4 GB. That said, the starting price of the iPad will drop from $329 to $299.
