The battery of the new Apple Watch will be hidden in the strap

The “battery strap” will connect to the watch via contacts and can be charged wirelessly.

Apple is actively working to improve the battery life of its Apple Watch smartwatches, sources say. This gadget is trending worldwide, but the watch’s operating time without recharging is 1-2 days with active use.

Information obtained from the US Patent Office indicates the progress Apple has made in addressing this deficiency. The last two patents point to the ability to fit flexible batteries into the Apple watch strap.

The “battery strap,” as stated in the patent, will connect to the watch via contacts and be able to be charged wirelessly. The documentation describes rubber or silicone straps, but metal battery straps may also appear on the market.

As is usually the case with patents, it could take years for such a product to hit the market if it eventually makes it to stores.
