The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event is expected to take place on August 11. But thanks to the early beta version of the server update plug-in, Samsung has already managed to find out a lot of information about the upcoming Galaxy Buds 2 wireless headphones. Previously, information about the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro model was leaked in a similar way.
Thanks to the analysis of the application code, it was possible to find out some new facts about the headphones. It was also revealed that the app contains several photographs of the headphones in black, white, gray-green, purple, and yellow. Yellow and gray-green are new colors that have not been seen before. There were no battery case images in the app except for a simple line art matching the Buds Pro and Buds Live cases.
Among the new features, mention is made of the ability to activate noise cancellation in one earbud. This option is currently invisible in the app. It is supposed to be available if the application detects that a certain firmware version is installed on the connected headphones. There is also an interactive guide to help the user wear the headphones correctly (similar to Buds Live). In addition, you can now individually enable or disable actions available through the single tap, double-tap, triple tap, and tap and hold.
The application itself has also undergone some changes. The battery control panel has been redesigned to be easier to use. It should be noted that some settings, such as Bixby voice awakening and in-ear active noise canceling, are not visible in the screenshots, but they do exist. The equalizer page remains the same, while the Find My Headphones page has been slightly redesigned. According to the app, each earbud has a built-in 61 mAh battery, while the charging case battery has a capacity of 472 mAh.
The Galaxy Buds 2 will be stripped of some of the features available in the Buds Pro. For example, there is no volume control, a 360-degree surround sound function, a more accurate active noise canceling function.
It should be noted that this application is a preliminary version. Until the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 wireless headphones, some of its elements and functions may still undergo changes.
