New vulnerability found in iPhone

Apple technology users were told about a serious problem that can cause gadgets to stop working. This became known on Wednesday, July 7th.

According to computer security researcher Karl Shue on his Twitter account, devices running iOS or iPadOS break down when connected to a Wi-Fi network named “% secretclub% power.” The thing is, the technique stops working with the wireless LAN.

A possible reason may be related to the way Wi-Fi works. The technology transfers the name of the access point to the internal library of the system, which is responsible for string formatting. After that, a record remains in memory, then the clipboard overflows. As a result, the memory of the gadget is damaged.

To restore the operation of devices based on iOS or iPadOS, you need to reset the settings, thereby deleting all user data. Such consequences can be avoided only on the condition that the user will not connect to unfamiliar networks with the “%” sign in the name. Cupertino does not comment on the information.

Earlier, “Profile” wrote that another vulnerability was found in Apple products, allowing users to be spied on. With its help, attackers can remotely monitor users’ communication via video link, take screenshots and gain access to some files.
