New Leak Confirms AirPods 3 And Apple Watch Series 7 Announcement This Year

At least seven Apple suppliers, including Semco, LG Innotek, Kinsus, Unimicron, have begun shipping printed circuit boards for upcoming third-generation AirPods. The accessory will be officially announced later this year. The MacRumors portal writes about this with reference to industry sources.

Earlier, Mark Gurman and Debbie Wu from Bloomberg also wrote that AirPods 3 will be released in 2021 and will receive the same shape as the AirPods Pro, but the legs will be slightly shorter. This will be the first design update for the base AirPods since March 2019.

The same sources note that the supply of boards for the Apple Watch Series 7 has already begun. They will receive a new layout of the hardware elements, which will make the watch case thinner or equip the device with a more capacious battery for better autonomy.

Bloomberg editors also mentioned a new display lamination technique that brings the matrix closer to the front panel and makes the screen more “alive”. According to insider John Prosser, the next Apple Watch may have a flat-edged design and a new green color option.

Earlier rumors mentioned a blood sugar function that would make the new Apple Watch a handy device for all users with diabetes.
