Microsoft shares rise to record highs ahead of Windows 11 presentation

It became known that the value of Microsoft shares reached an all-time high after rising by 1.3% to $ 263.52 per share on Monday, June 21st. Against the backdrop of this success, the capitalization level of the software giant approached $ 2 trillion.

Positive dynamics are observed against the background of the upcoming event, which is dedicated to the Windows software platform and will be held on June 24. As part of this presentation, the developers are expected to officially unveil the “new generation of Windows,” which Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced a few months ago at the Microsoft Build conference.

Last week, an ISO image of one of the preliminary versions of Windows 11 appeared on the Internet, which is expected to be presented at an upcoming Microsoft event. This provided more information on what users should expect from developers. It is difficult to say how accurately the definition of “next-generation Windows” characterizes Windows 11, but a lot of work has been done on the platform’s user interface. Microsoft has updated many of the interface elements, replaced the system icons with more modern ones, and added some elements from Windows 10X, a modular operating system whose development was stopped earlier this year.

Recall that currently, Windows 10 is the current version of the OS. It was released in July 2015 and received two major updates every year. Microsoft also announced this year that support for Windows 10 Home and Pro would officially end in late 2025.
