Microsoft is preparing an important browser update: vertical tabs and “anti-theft” for passwords

Microsoft Edge 88 is scheduled to release in January!

Microsoft is gearing up to launch a meaningful update for its Microsoft Edge browser soon. In January 2021, three new useful features will appear in the browser at once.

With the release of Microsoft Edge 88, based on Chromium 88, there will be warnings about compromised passwords and strong password hints, and most importantly, vertical tabs. The latter feature is not yet available in the market-dominant Chrome browser.

Microsoft Edge will add a password tracking feature to alert users to fraudulent activity signs and advise them to change their password in case of danger. So far, the function only works with passwords that are synchronized with a Microsoft account.
