Microsoft introduced the cloud service Windows 365

As part of the Microsoft Inspire conference, the announcement of the Windows 365 cloud service took place. It is designed primarily for corporate clients and provides Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating systems from almost any device. Windows 365 is based on the Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop platform, and the service will launch on August 2.

“With Windows 365, we’re creating a new category: the cloud PC,” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. Windows 365 can be used on various devices, such as macOS or Linux computers, iPads, and Android mobile gadgets. In fact, a modern browser is enough to use the service. Microsoft says it will enable you to work more efficiently from anywhere with instant OS boot.

Windows 365 service will be available as part of a monthly subscription; Microsoft will announce tariff plans a day before its launch, i.e., on the first of August. It is known that several options for “cloud PCs” will be available to users: from one virtual CPU with two gigabytes of RAM and 64 GB of disk space to eight virtual processors (probably, the number of cores is meant here – author’s note) with 32 GB of RAM and 512 – gigabyte storage.
