Microsoft has fixed recent gaming performance issues on Windows 10

Last month, Microsoft released an update for Windows 10 that reportedly reduced performance on some PC systems. And a few days ago, the company released another update that addresses gaming performance issues.

As Microsoft noted, a small group of users reported lower-than-expected gaming performance after installing this update. Most of the users affected by this issue ran games in full screen or borderless windowed modes and used two or more monitors.

Microsoft has rolled out a server-side update to address this issue that automatically disables new code introduced in the latest required updates. To roll back an unknown update code, Microsoft made configuration changes to the Windows Update cloud service.

When you connect your device to Windows Update, Microsoft will remotely disable the code change. The device will revert to the previous “unmodified” code (in other words, you don’t have to download anything manually).

Some affected users have already informed the Windows Latest resource that their games began to work without interruptions after checking for updates and restarting the system.
