Microsoft announced and started testing Windows 10 (21H2) – the next major OS update

Microsoft has announced the next major update to Windows 10 (21H2), which will bring several new features and fixes to improve system stability. The company also announced the beginning of testing this update, in which the developers released Windows 10 build 19044.1147 (KB5004296), which became available to members of the Insider program.

This assembly has several new features. First of all, we note the emergence of support for the WPA3 H2E standard, which will make it safer to work through a Wi-Fi connection. Windows Hello for Business introduces support for a simplified, password-less deployment model to get ready to go in minutes. The developers also added support for GPU computing in Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and Azure IoT Edge for Linux on Windows (EFLOW) for machine learning and other compute-intensive workflows.

The developers also made a lot of fixes. Fixed an issue with the search index where, due to an error, it stopped working correctly and created duplicate profile names. Fixed an issue that prevented Game Services from launching certain games on custom PCs. Fixed a bug that prevented text input using the Input Method Editor (IME). Fixed a bug due to which the explorer window could lose focus when connecting a network drive. The developers have made other changes to read, which can be in the official blog.

It is noted that users of Windows 10 (2004) and later versions of the software platform will be able to install Windows 10 (21H2) as quickly as possible since this package will be distributed as a standard cumulative update released monthly.
