iMac test results with Apple M1: the all-in-one was speedy

The new iMac is 56 and 24% faster than the old one and 24% in single-thread and multi-thread modes.

New iMac single-crystal computers with Apple M1 single-crystal system will start to be delivered to customers next week, and for now, the results of testing in Geekbench have appeared on the web.

Unsurprisingly, the iMac with the Apple M1 shows the same result as the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac mini based on The Apple M1. The average score is 1,724 in single-thread mode and 7,453 points when using all cores. The 24-inch iMac with the Apple M1 far surpasses the 21.5-inch iMac of 2019 with an Intel processor that scored 1,109 points in single-flow mode and 6014 when using all cores. It turns out that the new iMac is faster than the old one by 56 and 24% in single-thread and multi-thread modes, respectively.

The 27-inch iMac with The 10th Generation Intel Comet Lake scores 1247 and 9002 points, respectively. It turns out that the new iMac is 38% faster in single-thread mode but 25% faster in multi-core mode.

Apple is reportedly working on Appleā€™s more powerful single-crystal systems for desktop computers. The company will update the 27-inch iMac with a new model with its own SoC in the future.
