How to Create Bootable Windows 10 USB drive with WoeUSB

In this article we will show how to create bootable Windows 10 USB drive with WoeUSB. There are many tools available on the internet for creating bootable USB drives, and many are free and useful. They typically work as described, BUT there is always something going wrong when creating a bootable Windows 10 USB drive. I found Etcher pretty successful with all Linux flavors, but I am always having booting issues with Windows 10. Enter WoeUSB. The creator slacka states on GitHub that this fork is based on Congelli501’s WinUSB (official URL is offline) software. There haven’t been any updates to WinUSB since 2012.

Recently, I have heard more and more about it from many users in our community and decided to tested it out. After using it for about a week now, I am happy to say we FINALLY found a tool that works flawlessly with creating a bootable Windows 10 USB drive with WoeUSB. The file size is small. It’s designed for Linux and quickly creates a bootable stick from a genuine windows image. WoeUSB supports many recent Windows versions (Vista, 7, 8, PE), including Windows 10.

This free tool can be downloaded directly from GitHub or here.
