New World Rabbit’s Revenge Event Guide

It’s time to kill some rabbits.

New World is getting into the Easter hype with its own event known as Rabbit’s Revenge. While the event is active, Aeternum will be infested with corrupted rabbits that drop special loot. These special loots consist of event-exclusive New World item drops, which means you can only get them until Rabbit’s Revenge concludes. If you’re unsure what to do during this event, don’t fret—we’ll show you everything you need to know about New World’s Rabbit Revenge.

The Hunt Begins

The main shtick of this holiday event is that you have to hunt rabbits, so get your best Elmer Fudd musket out. Throughout Aeternum, you’ll find Corrupted Rabbits located everywhere. If you visit any landmark or Forts and Settlements with enemies you can farm for New World coins nearby, you should notice the plethora of rabbits running around. To know about their locations, you can check out New World’s official interactive map, click on the “monsters” filter, and select “rabbits” to narrow down where they are.

That said, you’ll have to pick carefully which Corrupted Rabbits you want to kill, as some of them are elites with an explosive attribute—making them explode upon death.

Carving Out the Rewards

Rabbit’s Revenge is a simple event to get into, making it accessible for every player in New World. But behind its simplicity lies some neat rewards for participating. When you kill a Corrupted Rabbit, you’ll receive the following:

First, let’s talk about Diamon Gypsum. You can get up to three Diamong Gypsums daily, and since they have a 66% chance to drop, obtaining them is pretty easy. You can refine this resource into a Gypsum Orb at a Gypsum Kiln.

As for Defiled Rabbit’s Foot, they’re a consumable item that can increase your Luck by 5% for 40 minutes. They have an 80% chance of dropping, making them relatively easy to get. Players can get up to five Defiled Rabbit’s Foot per day. Luck consumables don’t generally help you get rare rewards, but they’re helpful for other Luck-related needs. The increase scales with your player level and doesn’t stack with other Luck items, making it an excellent substitute for the Roasted Monstrous Turkey Dinners you got from the last Turkey Terror event.

The Corrupted Rabbit’s Mask Box is the newest cosmetic for Rabbit’s Revenge, and it’s only earnable through the event. What’s there to say besides it’s a Rabbit Mask you can put on your character? With only a 0.5% chance of dropping, it’s one of the rarer drops you can get.

The final unique drop is the Defiled Storage Chest of the Hare. This increases your storage space in the town where it’s used as a housing decoration. It’s arguably one of the best storage chests available in New World right now. However, with a drop rate of 0.25%, you’ll have to at least defeat 400 Corrupted Rabbits to get it. If you still haven’t invested much into your housing or are a new player, the Defiled Storage Chest of the Hare can be a considerable upgrade. Since it offers an additional 1050 weight of storage, it’s better than the highest tier of a craftable storage chest.

Where to Farm Corrupted Rabbits

Any rabbit spawn will do if you’re only gunning for the Diamond Gypsums and Defiled Rabbit’s Foot, but if you’re trying your luck for the Corrupted Rabbit’s Mask Box or Defiled Storage Chest of the Hare, it’s going to take a while before you get them. You have two options on where you can farm Corrupted Rabbits: Reekwater and Great Cleave.

A lovely area to farm rabbits on the southern end of Reekwater is just beyond the Time’s Advantage Spirit Shrine. This place offers a dense area of rabbits and plenty of Herbs to pick. And since you’re in Reekwater. You can also get Tarragon here, an essential ingredient for making Roasted Rabbit with Seasoned Vegetables.

Great Cleave is another option since it’s easy to get to, and there’s a high density of Corrupted Rabbits to be found there. The path is simple enough that you only have to go from north to south.

Rabbit’s Revenge Event Duration

Rabbit’s Revenge started on April 12 and is set to end on April 25, 2023. Make sure to grab all the unique loot you can during this period, as you’ll no longer have a way to get them once the event ends. Farming Corrupted Rabbit isn’t just a great way to get New World gold, it’s also the perfect opportunity for you to get some XP. Hopefully, Rabbit’s Revenge will return to New World in 2024 if it garners enough success this year.
