A Chinese insider said something about the next generation gaming smartphones. We are talking about devices from Nubia (Red Magic) and ASUS (ROG).
According to Digital Chat Station, future gaming smartphones will have screens as low as 1080p, which is not very impressive compared to other devices. However, gaming models will come with a 144Hz or higher refresh rate display.
The Black Shark 3 Pro came out last year with a 1440p screen. According to Digital Chat Station, such a display shouldn’t be expected in gaming smartphones anytime soon. Even the successor to the Black Shark 3 Pro may receive an FHD + screen.
Note that the new Red Magic and ROG Phone will have to run on the Snapdragon 888 processor.
