We are waiting for a new redesign of the Pro version.
According to Bloomberg, next year Apple will update its AirPods and AirPods Pro wireless headphones to the third and second versions, respectively.
According to sources familiar with the company’s plans, the third generation AirPods will receive the design of the current AirPods Pro, but will lose active noise cancellation and other functions (I think, we are talking about “Spatial Audio”), but they will work longer.
But the updated AirPods Pro will appear in a completely new design: the “legs” in which the sensors that read the pressure are located will disappear. The earbuds will be similar to the Samsung Galaxy Buds + and other models in a similar form factor.
When to expect?
The third generation AirPods may be presented in the first half of 2021, but the second AirPods Pro will have to wait, and it is not known when they will be announced. The source also said that Apple is working on a new HomePod smart speaker that will take an intermediate position between the original HomePod and the mini version.
