Apple to hold an online WWDC presentation from June 7 to June 11 – it will present new versions of the OS

The conference is being held online for the second year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The event will last four days from June 7-11. Apple will traditionally introduce new versions of the operating systems iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS.

As noted by Susan Prescott, VP of Global Developer Relations, Apple is committed to making WWDC 2021 its largest conference. As in 2020, the panels at the conference will run in parallel. In addition to the announcements of new systems, developers will access personal communication sessions with Apple engineers.

In 2020, Apple hosted an online WWDC for the first time due to the pandemic. Before that, participation in the event was paid, and developers were invited to its headquarters.

A distinctive feature of WWDC 2020 was the unconventional presentation of the company. Instead of a regular event, Apple made an announcement film with seamless and dynamic transitions between locations and presenters. In addition to iOS, the company then announced the transition to its own processors in the Mac.
