Apple showed Mac mini on its ARM-chip M1

Small, but so productive.

Apple has unveiled an updated Mac mini that runs on its M1 system-on-a-chip.

The design of the computer has not changed, and the M1 has become the main innovation of the nettop. And unlike the MacBook Air, it has a cooler.

This means that it will give more performance than the Air. At least when operating at higher frequencies, the processor will not heat up due to active cooling.

The new Mac mini will deliver three times the performance of an Intel-based quad-core Mac mini. And graphics performance has increased even more – up to six times!

It is also capable of fully working with the Apple Pro Display XDR. It is not very clear who will connect such a monitor to such a computer. But…

The computer supports up to 16GB of RAM, and the SSD can be up to 2TB. You can see other characteristics here:

Apple promises that the new Mac mini can compile code in Xcode three times faster than on x86. Rendering in Final Cut will be six times faster, and Logic Pro will allow you to process three times as many plug-ins that process audio in real-time (as a musician, this is the top).

Prices in the US before taxes are from $ 699 to $ 1699. and the new Mac mini is available for pre-order now.
