Apple begins mass production of iPhone 12 in India

The company was not afraid of riots at the iPhone factory!

Earlier it was reported that Apple intends to produce the iPhone 12 in India, and now there is evidence of this. Supply chain sources say Apple will soon begin manufacturing the iPhone 12 at Foxconn’s India plant.

The “Made in India” iPhone 12 has gone into production and should hit the market within two months. It is also mentioned that Wistron will begin production of the new iPhone in Bangalore near the Naraspura plant. With a plan to invest about $ 40 million, Wistron also wants to hire 10,000 employees for the new plant. The plant started up in October this year, and about 1,000 workers have already started work.

Apple is currently producing the iPhone 6S, iPhone XR, and the new iPhone SE in India. Sources say Apple is developing local manufacturing because the company hopes to reduce its dependence on China. It is also reported that local production will save 22% on iPhone production, but this does not mean that Apple will lower users’ prices.

We will remind you, a week ago at the Indian plant, Wistron protests broke out over unpaid wages, which escalated into a real riot with the destruction of the building and the destruction of cars.
