A couple more nasty surprises from Apple: iPhone 12 mini wireless charging will be even slower.

New MagSafe Limitations Revealed!

Apple has released a new line of accessories under the MagSafe brand along with the iPhone 12 smartphones. However, there are many unexpected nuances associated with it.

At first, it turned out that the MagSafe wireless charger can only provide the 15W declared during the announcement with Apple’s new 20W power supply. In almost all other cases, there will be a maximum of 10 watts.

Now one more nuance has become apparent. Paired with the younger model in the series, the iPhone 12 mini, the MagSafe wireless charger, will be limited to 12 watts. This is reported in an updated document in the support section of the Apple website.

Apple also warned that when connecting Lightning accessories, such as EarPods, to iPhone 12 smartphones, the MagSafe charger will be limited to 7.5W.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max will open on November 6 and start sales on November 13.
